Terms of service
Rules for using Drup Trails, including trackers, teams, and OwnTracks integrations.
1. Agreement

By creating an account or using Drup Trails, you agree to these terms and the Privacy policy. If you use the service for a team, you confirm you have authority to accept terms for that team.

2. Service scope
  • Drup Trails provides location ingestion, history, and team-based sharing for trackers configured in your account.
  • OwnTracks is a separate client application used to produce and send location reports.
  • Availability can vary due to maintenance, network issues, or factors outside our control.
3. Accounts, trackers, and teams
  • You are responsible for account security, including password hygiene and device security.
  • Tracker credentials are sensitive; do not share tokens outside trusted team workflows.
  • You are responsible for team membership choices and for ensuring invited members are authorized to access location data.
  • You must not use the service for stalking, harassment, unauthorized surveillance, or any unlawful purpose.
4. Data and compliance responsibilities
  • You must have a lawful basis to collect and share the location data you submit.
  • You must provide required notices and obtain consent where local law requires it.
  • You remain responsible for data handling decisions made within your teams.
5. Disclaimers and liability limits

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including data loss or business interruption.

6. Suspension, termination, and changes
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or create security or legal risk.
  • We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material updates will be announced through the platform or other appropriate channels.
  • Continued use after updates means you accept the revised terms.
